The prize-giving day is the current function in every school. Like other schools, our school also celebrates its annual function every year. This function helps to recognize the hidden natural talents of the students.
This function is an occasion in which talented students are recognized and properly rewarded. During the current session, our school's annual function was held on 15 January.
Before the commencement of the function, the students cleaned the school campus as well as the buildings. Then on the day of the occasion, they decorated the school building with the help of guide teachers. They prepared a gate with colored papers, leaves, and flowers.
The District Education Officer of our district graced the occasion as Chief Guest and the Block Education Officer as the Chief Speaker. They had given their kind consent to attend the function much before the celebration of the function.
Both the officers reached our school at 4 pm. The students of our school stood in a queue near the gate. All the staff members of our school were present there. The headmaster of our school led them to the stage. Some girls offered garlands to the guests.
At the outset of the function, a group of students sang the opening song and offered them badges. Then the function started. The headmaster of our school read out the Annual Report of the school.
The guests, in their brief speeches, appreciated the excellent performance of the school. They also advised the students to keep up the glory of the school.
Before the vote of thanks, the Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the meritorious students for their excellent performances. Then the long-awaited colorful cultural programs began and continued till 10 p.m.
At last one of the teachers of our school gave the vote of thanks to all. In fact, it is a day of great jubilation for the students. It has become a sweet memory for me. I cannot forget this day.
