The country of one's birth is known as his/her motherland. I was born in India. So India is my motherland. Long ago this country was named Bharat. Further, it was also named Hindustan. Even today the names Bharat and Hindustan are popular among most Indians. It is located in South-East Asia.
The Himalayas are on the north and the Indian Ocean is on the south of this land. The Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea are on the east and west respectively. So my country is almost surrounded by seas on three sides.
