Essay My Daily Life |
My name is Abhijit Sahu. I am fifteen years old. I am in class ten in M. R. Boys' High School, Parlakhemundi. As a student, I spend my days in a planned manner every day. I spend my time according to the following routine. There is a little change in these timings on Sundays and holidays.
I wake up early in the morning every day. I pray to God for some time. I help my mother clean the house. Then I brush my teeth and have my bath. After that, I have a light breakfast. After breakfast, I go to my reading room and do the homework assigned the previous day. At about half-past nine I have my meal and go to school.
I am never late for school. I always remain present in the prayer class. I keep silent in the classroom and listen to the teachers attentively. I never pick up a quarrel with any of my classmates. I obey the rules of the school. So the teachers like me very much. During recess hours I play with my friends on the school premises.
I return home after school closes. I have some light tiffin and go to play on the nearby ground with my friends. Most of the time we play cricket. Sometimes I practice some athletic events in our school ground.
In the evening I again get into my reading room. I go on studying my lessons until nine or half-past- nine. Then I have my dinner. I go to bed around 10 P.M. every day. I follow the rule, "Early to bed and early to rise, is the best way to be healthy and wise."

My Daily Routine As A Student |
A routine is doing the same things in the same order day after day. I have my own grind of the daily routine.
My alarm wakes me up at 6 a.m. but I don’t usually get up until 6.15. Then wash my face, brush my teeth, go to the toilet, and get dressed. Start my day with two glasses of water - this clears my skin and flushes out all the toxins.
Then I go for a brisk morning walk in the open with my next-door neighbor Robin. Nature is at her best then. I return home at about 6.45, have a quick bath, and get dressed. Then I have a light breakfast consisting of a few slices of bread and a cup of milk.
At 7.30 I begin working in the study and do all the homework given to me till 9.30. By this time my mother has cooked our meal and I have a simple brunch of rice, dal, and boiled vegetables. I usually have yogurt with my brunch.
Then I pick up my school bag and leave for school on my bicycle. School begins at 10.30 and finishes at 4 p.m. l always take a keen interest in schoolwork.
When school breaks up at 4 p.m., I come back home, have some snacks, and go to the nearby field to play games with my friends.
In the evening at 7 o'clock, my private tutor gives me lessons and helps me with my studies. At 8.30 I watch the news on TV. At 9.00 all the family sits at a table to have dinner. At 10.00 I go to bed. Before I switch the lights off and go to sleep, I read a few pages from a storybook.
Such is the routine on the weekdays. But on Sundays and holidays, I need to break out of my daily routine and do something exciting. I sometimes visit my relatives or go to the cinema with my parents or go on outings to places of interest.
When I am at home, I usually take a nap after lunch, especially during the summer vacation. Let me tell you that I very much enjoy a good afternoon's siesta and I hate people who come knocking at my door in the middle of my afternoon siesta.
